Bicarbonate, lemon and aloe vera mask

The bicarbonate of sodium is a good sebo-regulator able to eliminate also the sense of itching and discomfort. It is very effective in cases of dandruff and dermatitis. On the other hand, lemon is known for disinfecting and degreasing properties. Finally, aloe vera has healing, antiseptic, decongestant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is easy to understand how these three ingredients are very effective for combing oily hair.

In a small bowl, squeeze 1 lemon and add 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel. Add a little ‘hot water until it reaches a pasty consistency. Mix and apply the final mixture on the hair always using a cap or transparent film.

Keep in place for about 20 minutes and go to normal washing with a shampoo suitable for oily hair.

Nettle mask and black tea

The nettle, as well as bicarbonate, is an excellent natural remedy to combat dandruff and greasy hair. Black tea contains an astringent substance known as “tannic acid” which can prevent excess sebum and naturally close the pores of the scalp. Tea tree oil is a concentrated essential oil capable of purifying hair follicles, reducing dandruff and the formation of sebum.

Boil 1 cup of crushed nettle leaves with 1 sachet of black tea. Once the solution has reached the ambient temperature it will be necessary to filter it. Add 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate and 3-4 drops of tea tree oil. Spread over the entire hair and leave on for about 20 minutes. Finally wash your hair with a special shampoo.

Intensive mask with green clay and cornstarch

Green clay is a fundamental substance for improving the appearance of oily hair, thanks to its detoxifying, disinfecting and purifying properties. Cornstarch instead has a considerable absorbing power while the apple vinegar acts gently on the hair restoring the natural pH of the scalp without being aggressive. The essential oil of thyme, as well as that of sage and mint, is suitable for treating the excessive production of sebum as it has astringent and vasoconstrictive properties.

Mix 2 tablespoons of green clay, 1 of cornstarch, 1 of apple vinegar and 5 drops of thyme essential oil. Add hot water until the mask is doughy. Apply to roots, lengths and ends. Cover your hair with a shower cap or wrap it with clear film and wait 20 minutes. After that, rinse and wash your hair with a specific shampoo.
