Hair during the summer, like the skin, is put to the test. Not everyone has the foresight and constancy to apply specific and protective products that keep them hydrated. The sun, wind, salt and chlorine can weaken them and we often find ourselves, after the holidays, with a dull and dull hair that we are not proud of.
Fortunately, there are effective remedies that avoid having to resort to drastic cuts.

Masks for damaged hair

Taking 10-15 minutes after shampooing to apply a rejuvenating mask must be part of our post-holiday hair routine. With a few applications and low application times, excellent results are obtained.
There are countless hair masks on the market. We can find cheap products, but with good ingredients, and more performing professional products. Let’s not forget that at a very low cost we can ourselves recreate DIY masks at home whose benefits are visible from the first applications.

Olive oil, honey and yogurt mask

1 jar of yogurt, 20 ml of olive oil and 2-3 tablespoons of honey.
This mask nourishes damaged and dehydrated hair, disciplines frizzy hair and soothes the scalp. After shampooing, keep on for 15 minutes and rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Egg mask, linseed oil and rosemary essence

The egg with flax seeds provide a hydration booster, plumping the hair, while the essential oil of rosemary strengthens them. Mix 1 egg, 20 ml of linseed oil and 10 drops of rosemary essential oil, apply on the hair and leave on for 15 minutes.

Almond oil, basil and sage mask

Almond oil is one of the most nourishing oils that exist, if we add basil and sage leaves to it, we will get a very fragrant oil that will take care of our damaged hair.

Keratin treatments at the hairdresser

If we think that our hair situation is on the verge of recoverable, better run to the hairdresser. It is possible to undergo many keratin-based treatments that intensively nourish and rebuild damaged hair. The keratin also ensures perfect smoothness and an anti-frizz effect.

Not just masks

In addition to the application of moisturizing masks, we remember some good habits that preserve the health of our hair over time:

  • applying the conditioner on the lengths after each shampoo,
  • never rub your hair with a towel to prevent it from breaking. Better to dab them gently using a microfiber cloth,
  • limit the use of iron and straighteners to give our hair time to regain strength and, if necessary, always use heat-protective sprays,
  • gently brush our hair, starting from the tips and then going up to the roots. This way we will prevent them from breaking.
  • Avoiding drastic cuts, resorting to periodicals checked by the hairdresser is a way to immediately have a healthier, fuller and plumped-looking hair.
