The revenge of brown hair marks 2025 among hair styling trends.
The brown hair trend is infecting everyone, even the most convinced blondes, the so-called “blondes inside”!
We are a little influenced by the symbolic color of 2025 which is Mocha Mousse, but also because cyclically we want to change the color of our hair and often with a more natural color.
Brown hair is experiencing a real moment of glory. Long considered a “neutral” or “ordinary” color, today it has become synonymous with elegance, authenticity and timeless style.
Celebrities and influencers who show off brown hair and regretful blondes

Many stars have helped make brown hair a glamorous choice. Celebrities like Zendaya, Emma Watson, and Kate Middleton are perfect examples of how this color can be elegant and versatile.

Even on Instagram and Tik Tok, there are many “repentant blondes” and influencers show how to enhance brown hair with trendy hairstyles and styling. From our own Ilary Blasy who went from platinum blonde to dark brown, a change of look that also marked a change of life, to the influencer Veronica Ferraro, also in a brunette version after many years of blonde.

Why choose brown hair?
” Brown hair offers a wide range of shades, from the lightest shades like golden brown or caramel, to the most intense tones like chocolate brown or mahogany. This versatility makes it suitable for every complexion and personal style – Cristiano Russo of the Franco & Cristiano Russo salons in Rome tells us.
Furthermore, brown is a color that requires less maintenance than lighter or more vivid shades, making it perfect for those who want a sophisticated but practical look“.
After many years of blonde, I confess that I also couldn’t resist making a small color change, from very blonde to light brown.
Current Trends for Brown Hair

Speaking of brown shades, there are different ones and a beautiful brown can also be achieved with different techniques:
- Brown balayage: A technique that gives depth and movement to the hair thanks to light and natural shades.
- Copper brown: Ideal for those looking for a touch of warmth and originality.
- Cold brown: Perfect for a modern and minimalist look.
- Glossing: A treatment that intensifies the natural shine of brown, making it even brighter.
How to take care of colored hair
Brown hair is certainly easier to maintain, but to make the color shine, hair stylist Cristiano Russo advises us: “it is always better to choose specific shampoo and conditioner to protect the color and prevent dullness. Apply nourishing masks at least once a week to keep hair soft and shiny and as always use heat-protective sprays before using a hair dryer, straightener or curling iron.”
In short, this return of brown hair celebrates authentic beauty and versatility, but before changing color, perhaps from blonde to brown as I did, a little personal advice based on my experience. Brown hair always needs a good styling to be enhanced and above all a lot of make up to make the eyes stand out and not seem too anonymous…
